Grid material upgrade for abrasive non-ferrous feed
Grid material upgraded after review of worn surfaces and abrasive feed condition.
Background: standard grids wore quickly on abrasive non-ferrous feed, shortening the interval between change-outs. Solution: worn surfaces were examined and an alternative grade was proposed, with hardness and toughness targets defined before production. Scope: grid / screen plate and material upgrade. Outcome: the upgraded grids were supplied with hardness and metallographic reports.
