Forged shredder hammers added to the global supply range

Forged hammers are now supplied alongside cast grades, giving operators another option where impact loading is severe.

GOLDSTONE (KINTES) has started supplying forged shredder hammers to customers worldwide. Forged construction is offered as an alternative to cast grades where the feed creates severe impact loading and the operator wants a different toughness profile. As with all new products, forged hammers went through sample development and trial production ahead of series supply. Batch production began after the samples met the required inspection indicators, including dimensional check, hardness verification and metallographic analysis. Every forging carries a unique traceability code, so the production record of each individual part can be retrieved later. Customers can order forged hammers to OEM specification or to an upgraded profile agreed with our engineers after a review of the working condition. Hammers, grids, wear plates, rotor caps and hammer pins remain available in high manganese steel, super high manganese steel, alloy steel and high chrome cast iron, with single piece weights from 5 kg to 19,000 kg.
